Part 1

A new grad in an interdisciplinary team meeting is unsure about a patient's discharge readiness. Despite concerns about the patient's safety at home, they hesitate to speak up due to lack of experience. The situation raises questions about when to voice concerns and what factors influence that decision. Okay, imagine this. You're a new grad in the field. You're sitting in an interdisciplinary team meeting, and the team is discussing a patient's discharge. Everyone seems to agree that the patient is ready to go home, but based on what you've seen in your therapy sessions, you're not so convinced. You have a lot of concerns about whether they're actually going to be safe at home, and you look around the room, everyone has more experience than you. Are you speaking up? What would make you feel comfortable enough to say something? And maybe more importantly, what would make you decide not to?
