Roland Rhodes MK-802
The first time I heard St. Germain's Pont des Arts, I immediately assumed that the punchy electric piano sound was a Fender Rhodes. Through discussion groups and personal email exchanges with Roland's former Benelux Product Manager, I learned that the instrument was a Roland Rhodes MK-80, a 1989 digital emulation of the Rhodes sound using Advanced Structured Adaptive Synthesis. The MK-80 has its own punchy sound, which blends well with 90s deephouse fueled by the Korg M1 organ base.
