Đàn bầu2

In 2010, I purchased an electric đàn bầu one-string gourd zither in Hanoi, Vietnam. Since then, I have been experimenting with the Đàn bầu in combination with a Strymon Timeline delay pedal to recreate a Vietnamese Pink Floyd sound. The đàn bầu is able to create the haunting echo-soaked Floyd sound reminiscent of their 1971 23-minute epic "Echoes." I used my Yamaha CP-80 and the Hologram Electronics Microcosm to create an atmospheric background loop.
