Alan Penn, a former Training and Development Manager at Stockton, left Royal London for a new job. He mentioned that Stockton no longer needs internal trainers and is outsourcing at a cost of £5,000 per coach. Alan had unsuccessful interviews with M&G, Phoenix Slash Standard Life, and Omni Protection. He is interested in further training, having five degrees from different universities and various qualifications. Alan needs to be in Scotland due to his elderly parent. I recommended he attend a free webinar and consider personal coaching for interviews. I also suggested Page Career Services to him. He was a Training and Development Manager for the last six years for Stockton. He told me that the training department, so the internal trainers are no longer needed as they were going external at a cost of £5,000 plus VAT per coach. Full stop action. Alan said that he's had three interviews recently but none of them have been successful. He went for a Learning and Development role with M&G in Stirling. He met with Andy Papp in November but it appears that the role was then called. New line. He went for a video interview with Phoenix Slash Standard Life for Telephone Account Manager, which was also called full stop. Finally, he went for a video interview with Omni Protection and was unsuccessful. He was honest enough to say he didn't think his presentation was that strong and it's been a long time since he did a full stop paragraph. He has attended webinars with myself and Matt Craven before and I recommend that he was welcome to consider the one we're holding on Friday, which will be free full stop. I also told him he might want to invest in a personal coach or in some other interview support full stop paragraph. Action. Further training. He's a big fan of training. He has five degrees from five different universities. This includes a BA Hons from Queen Margaret's University, a MSc from University of Glasgow, an MPhil from University of Cambridge, a PG Cert from University of East London and a PG Cert from University of Sheffield. So there's a lot of background which is of interest. He's also been an investment trainer, having done investment training at Royal London and also been a protection BDM as well as a normal BDM full stop. He has plenty of qualifications, including the Investment Advice Diploma from CISI, the IMC qualification and a Diploma from the CII. Full stop. Action.
