The host expresses gratitude for Mr. Cummins' influence and invites him for an interview on the podcast. Mr. Cummins briefly introduces himself as a teacher at East Aurora High School since 1999, with experience in coaching, directing theater, and teaching a variety of classes over the years. Hello everyone, and welcome back to the Jack Mize podcast. I'm your host, Jack Mize, and I'm really excited for today's episode. This week, we're kicking off a special Educator Spotlight interview with someone who had a profound impact on my life, Mr. Cummins from East Aurora High School. So I had the privilege of being Mr. Cummins' student in AP English Language and Composition, Broadcasting and Journalism, as well as the Film Academy program. His teaching shaped not only how I think and communicate, but also how I approach storytelling and creativity. Mr. Cummins, thank you very much for your time here today. I truly appreciate the influence you've had on my life, and I'm incredibly grateful to have you on the podcast. To get things started, do you want to just do a quick introduction of yourself? Sure. First of all, thanks a lot, Jack. I appreciate it. You are etched in my memory, without question. My name is Jack Cummins, and I teach at East Aurora High School. I've been here for, oh, since 1999, and I taught in several school districts before that as well. I also coach, and I direct some theater, and I've had kind of a diversity of classes, and I've been doing a lot of different things throughout the years.
