This lesson is designed for an ESL fourth-grade class. Students listen to a short podcast describing two students, Lily and Maxwell, and write three comparative sentences based on what they hear: one 1-syllable comparative, one 2+ syllable comparative, and one irregular comparative. The audio can be played twice to give students enough time to listen and write. After writing, students are invited to share their comparisons aloud, allowing them to practice speaking skills.
