"Country Roads" was added to the pregame show in 1972, when the song was popular throughout the nation. It has been performed every year since, and it is one of the most recognizable selections in the band’s repertoire. The drill traditionally includes the famous state outline, which has become a trademark not only for the band but also the entire University and state.
